Bishalakhi Ghosh brings over 21+ years of work experience across service sectors, with a specialization in IT/Telecom communication and marketing. Her most recent assignment was with Alcatel-Lucent, where she spent almost 7 years and last three of which was as the Director for Alcatel-Lucent Foundation.

While growing up in Calcutta she was deeply influenced by Mother Teresa and her works with orphaned and destitute children. As a unique opportunity she was introduced to Missionaries of Charity (Mother Teresa's organization) through a friend and she volunteered with them for 8 years.

Bishalakhi came to New Delhi in 1995, after moving to Delhi she along with a few friends and her son started weekend classes for IDP children (internally displaced persons) in and around south Delhi. The idea of the weekend class was simple - to spend some time with the children and young adults who spent most of their lives in adversities beyond one's imagination. This initiative has since grown into a 5-day-a-week school and vocational training classes with more than 135 kid, 25 young adults and 20 women under the ages of Faith Foundation. The efforts of Faith Foundation have been appreciated and featured in national media including Femina - a leading women's magazine, Times of India, The Hindu, Indian Express and "Young Turk - Social Entrepreneur" in CNBC TV. Bishalakhi along with her 2 friends is the Founder Trustee of Faith Foundation.
